The operation requires a Homematic IP Access Point, in conjunction with the Homematic IP app (no recurring costs). Moreover, the Homematic IP app allows for the combination of nearly all devices and conditions from various application areas. This versatility enables pre-programmed functionalities and the configuration of individual automation rules, offering users boundless creative flexibility. Individual devices are configured through the Homematic IP cloud service, which operates exclusively on servers located in Germany to comply with European and German data protection guidelines. All data stored in the Homematic IP cloud remains completely anonymous and does not reveal any information about the user's identity or personal usage behavior. Additionally, all communication between the Access Point, cloud, and app is encrypted. Significantly, during both before and after app installation, no private data - such as name, email address or mobile phone number - is required, thereby ensuring complete anonymity protection.
